KSK Anniversary Celebrated:

Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh (KSK) also known as Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in English celebrated its 45th anniversary on Bhadra 31 2064 (September 16, 2007). To mark the occasion a program was organized KSK head office located at Pulchowk. The chairman of KSK Mr.Madhav Pd. Ghimire was the chief guest of the event, while the event was chaired by board member Prof. Dr.Madan Kumar Dahal.

On the occasion, Mr.Madhav Pd. Ghimire- the Chairman of KSK gave away service medals to employees completing 15 and 25 years of service. Similarly, prizes were also given to employees who won at different sports competitions organized to celebrate the anniversary.

Prizes were also given away to the children of KSK employees, who performed well at the SLC exam of 2063.

Computerization Upgrade:The process of replacing the pen and ink method of maintaining books of accounts by computer systems was initiated in 1979 and since the EPF has traveled a long way. Today almost all of the services that EPF provides to its members are computerized including maintaining the members' accounts. Members' PF deposit and loan accounts are maintained separately.

The double entry system of book keeping has been applied. All the books of accounts including daybook, subsidiary, ledgers as well as trial balance, balance sheet, and income and expenditure account are processed through the computer.

The computerized system of EPF is built on a networked environment and the mode of the system is online. EPF even provides on line services from all its branch offices located in different parts of the country.
