TThis scheme was introduced in February 1995. Under this scheme a lump sum amount of Rs.55 thousand in case of death or permanent disability and Rs. 10,000 to 25,000 in case of partial disability due to an accident is paid to the members or their legal heir or nominee.
The EPF has created special reserve funds out of its own earning to finance this scheme.
